Banff Mountain Film Festival Kosovo encompasses two epic days filled with stories of remote journeys, ground-breaking expeditions, and cutting-edge adventures told through the eyes of adventurers, authors, photographers, and filmmakers from around the globe.
Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival is an international film competition featuring the world’s best footage on the subjects of mountain sports and adventures. The films feature a range of styles and themes, including climbing, skiing, kayaking, biking, adventure, culture, and the environment.
The festival is organized every year since 1976 in Banff (Alberta), Canada by Banff Center. Immediately after the Festival ends in November, a selection of the best films go on tour to United States, Argentina, Great Britain, South Africa, Scandinavia, China, Australia, Antarctica, and points in between. Each year, the films travel to 40 countries reaching more than 600,000 people at over 1 200 screenings. Now, for the second time, the festival will be organised in Prishtina to spread some extraordinary good vibes and to celebrate together the achievements of Kosovan and international athletes and explorers.
By bringing the spirit of outdoor adventure to cinema screenings, the aim of this festival is to fill the participants with positivity and adrenaline and most importantly, to bring them a step closer to connecting with nature, people, and mountain culture.
